The first international conference on Energy Transformation Technologies for Sustainable Future (ENTRUST) will take place on 8–11 September 2026 at the Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI) in Kaunas, Lithuania, bringing together researchers, innovators, industry leaders and policymakers to discuss the technologies, solutions and collaborative approaches shaping the future of energy systems.
Initiated by the Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI), ENTRUST is designed as an interdisciplinary platform connecting scientists, technology developers, industry representatives, policymakers and other stakeholders involved in the transformation of energy systems.
Rather than focusing on individual technologies alone, the conference will explore how scientific advances, innovation and policy frameworks can work together to address the complex challenges of modern energy systems. ENTRUST will provide a space for knowledge exchange, international collaboration and new partnerships, bringing together different perspectives on the transition towards more resilient, efficient and sustainable energy systems.
Connecting Science and Industry for Energy Transformation
The ENTRUST programme will highlight emerging research directions, novel technological approaches and integrated solutions contributing to the development of sustainable energy systems.
Key topics will include renewable energy integration, energy storage technologies, hydrogen solutions, energy efficiency, industrial electrification, decarbonisation, energy security, and the future development of nuclear and fusion technologies.
The keynote programme will feature internationally recognised experts from academia, industry and public institutions, including representatives from the European Commission, Westinghouse, ORLEN Lietuva, NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence, Kaunas University of Technology, the University of Aberdeen, the University of Warsaw, Tallinn University of Technology, and other leading organisations.
The discussions will focus on some of the most pressing issues shaping the energy transition, including European energy policy, future energy technologies, industrial transformation, and the development of secure and sustainable energy systems.
